Research area

Semifield experiments investigating the influence of different factors such as plant species, growth stage, climate, adjuvants, tank mixtures, spraying technique and resistance on herbicide performance. My research area also include non-pesticidal activities such as allelopathy, natural compounds and phytotoxic effects of herbicides in precipitation.

Current research activities include:

• Optimising herbicide mixtures
• Control of grass weeds
• Weed control in seed crops
• Natural products for control of weeds
• Allelopathy in barley and wheat
• Effects of pesticides in precipitation on terrestrial plants
• Development of a decision support system for the Baltic countries
• Fate and toxicity of allelochemicals (natural plant toxins) in relation to environment and consumer (2001-2004)
