General knowledge on pesticide regulation and need for using pesticides in Danish Agriculture.

Professional experience:

1982-1985 Research trials co-ordinator at the agrochemical company Schering A/S in Copenhagen.

1985-1994 Scientist at The Research Centre for Plant Protection, Lyngby.

Senior Scientist at the Department of Plant Pathology and Pest Management, Danish Institute of Plant and Soil Science, Lyngby.

Member of The Danish Pesticide Board (representing the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries).

Member of an EPPO (European Plant Protection Organisation) group who develop guidelines on "Good Plant Protection Practise".

Review mission to Mozambique in order to evaluate Danidas Crop Protection Projects and suggest further activities. Participated as pesticid expert. 1995

1996-1999 Project leader of a Baltic/Nordic group on upgrading and harmonising efficacy testing.

1997-1999 Member of a secretariat at the Environmental Agency on evaluation of ‘Consequences of phasing out pesticides in DK’
