Profile

Main tasks since 1995 is project management of the perennial project: CABS (Control of area-based arable and forage Subsidies using remote sensing in Denmark). I am responsible for the contact to the Danish Plant Directorate, the Danish Market Management and Intervention Board and the European Commission concerning the CABS project. The CABS project involves land use mapping of 5% of the Danish agricultural area based on yearly farmer statements and remote sensing.

My main interests are land use/land cover mapping, GI-systems and remote sensing. I am also involved in other research and operational projects concerning natural resources and remote sensing.

I am the department’s key person in implementation and running of Phare twinning projects that aims to implement the national IACS control systems of land use in EU and the accession states. Currently involved in twinning projects in Lithuania, Poland and Czech Republic.
