DIAS will soon have an unparallelled facility for experiments with biogas and slurry separation
Published: Tuesday 12 December 2006
The Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences will soon have one of the world's largest biogas and slurry separation research plants. The plant will be situated adjacent to Research Centre Foulum. This means that there will be another outlet for the world-class expertise of DIAS within agricultural production and environment. The many and diverse livestock productions at Research Centre Foulum with dairy cattle, mink, and the breeding and rearing of sows will form a solid foundation for the work of exploiting the gas potential of animal manure. The construction of the plant will continue until the end of December 2006. This will be followed by a installation phase of around three and a half months, before the plant is finally commissioned on 18 April 2007. Further information about the production and research facility can be found in this folder.
