Profile

The Service Department is a cross-institutional department with local units servicing the research centres. The main task of the department is to provide facilities and services for the research departments, including the internal and external communication of the research activities at DIAS.

Mission

The mission of the department is to handle the external and internal communication at DIAS and provide service facilities to the research departments in all general service areas, including the ongoing development of facilities in support of the research and social responsibilities of DIAS.

Vision

The department aims to provide professional service and PR functions to support the research undertaken at the institute in an economic and environmentally sustainable manner. The institute seeks to maintain a professional working environment that ensures that the department is an efficient and attractive place to work.

Objectives

• To provide services in the areas of: communication, local fee-paying services, and cross-institutional services in the areas of rent management, IT, library, procurement and building construction projects, telephones, and green accounts.
• To perform regular evaluations and control of the relevance and quality of the services provided in relation to environment, safety, and expenditure levels.
