Description

The identification of sow and piglet characteristics that relate to piglet survival under diverse environmental conditions will be done in two stages.The first stage will involve the identification of genotypes in the UK and Denmark that differ in relation to piglet survival.The second stage will be to study the maternal and piglet characteristics that relate to piglet survival under differing environmental conditions: farrowing crates, indoor non-crate system and outdoors.
