Organic egg production - strategies for immune stimulation under production conditions

The objective of the project is to develop health improving strategies for organic egg production that stimulate development and utilisation of the natural defence mechanisms against infections in animals thereby improving health and food safety. Knowledge on fundamental mechanisms in stimulation of the immune system by infection pressure and mild stress as well as methods suitable for organic egg production will be studied.
