The aim of, and motivation for, most of the work Nicolas Friggens has carried out has been to develop simplified models that attempt to clarify the underlying biological principles by which animals function. Currently, this interest is directed at how the genotype and reproductive state of an animal influences its partition of nutritional resources and subsequent health.
